This new high speed spindle for our Self-Piercing Rivet (SPR) system was first deployed at a significant luxury vehicle manufacturer in Europe, resulting in a cycle time reduction of 700 milliseconds/cycle which equates to 100 more cars a day, 650 a week and 28,000 a year. We are now deploying this innovation to our customer base around the world. We became #1 in new SPR systems sales globally in 2017, supported by this core innovation and the Giessen operations teams’ seamless execution and on time delivery.
